NASA astronaut Anil Menon's 1st ISS mission
Anil Menon, a NASA astronaut with Indian roots, is gearing up for his first trip to space as part of Expedition 75.
He'll launch in June 2026 from Kazakhstan on the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft, teaming up with Russian cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina.
The crew will spend eight months on the International Space Station, working on science experiments and testing new tech to help future space explorers.
Menon's inspiring journey to NASA
Menon's journey is pretty inspiring—he's a trained emergency doctor and mechanical engineer with degrees from Harvard and Stanford.
Before joining NASA in 2021, he was SpaceX's first flight surgeon and helped out during their big Demo-2 mission.
Now, as a recent graduate of NASA's latest astronaut class, he's all set to put his skills to work in orbit.
