Supermoon, meteor showers, Uranus at its brightest: Night sky events
November 2025 is packed with cosmic highlights—think a super-bright full moon, three meteor showers, and Uranus shining at its best.
Whether you're into late-night skywatching or just want to catch a cool moment or two, there's plenty to look up for this month.
Early November highlights
The Super Hunter's Moon peaks on November 5 and will look extra big and bright.
The Southern Taurids (Nov 4-5) bring slow-moving fireballs after midnight, while the Northern Taurids follow on Nov 11-12.
The Leonid meteor shower lights up the sky on Nov 17-18 with up to 15 meteors an hour—helped by a thin crescent moon.
Plus, on November 6, the Moon swings close to the Pleiades star cluster for a pretty pairing through binoculars.
Uranus shines bright on November 21
Uranus hits opposition (its brightest point) on November 21—look for a faint blue-green dot through binoculars or a telescope.
By late month, classic winter constellations like Taurus and Orion start taking over the night sky.
