Truecaller now has more than 500M monthly active users

Truecaller, the popular caller ID app from Sweden, has announced a major milestone: it now has over 500 million monthly active users. The company also revealed that its user base outside India has crossed the 150 million mark. India remains Truecaller's biggest market with over 350 million monthly users. In a statement, Truecaller CEO Rishit Jhunjhunwala said this growth highlights the increasing need for solutions to combat spam and scams.

Truecaller has witnessed massive growth over the years, doubling its user base in the last five years. The company added 50 million users in 2025 alone. Back in April 2025, Truecaller had announced that it had crossed the 450 million user mark. Currently, more than four million people are subscribed to its paid plans.

Jhunjhunwala emphasized Truecaller's commitment to making communication safer with smarter technology as well as new capabilities. "Our aim is to build a safer, more trusted communication ecosystem for everyone," he said. The company is also looking at expanding its user base further, with the next target being one billion users.
Service diversification

In recent years, Truecaller has been expanding its services beyond just caller ID. The firm recently launched a feature that lets one person become an admin and end calls on behalf of users in their family group to avoid scams. It is also testing AI technology for call screening and answering.
