UIDAI launches new Aadhaar app with privacy-first sharing

UIDAI just dropped a beta version of its updated Aadhaar app for iOS and Android, making it easier to share your identity details without revealing your full 12-digit number.
This "masked Aadhaar" feature is all about giving you more control over your data and keeping things private.

What's new and how to get started

The app packs in face authentication, lets you manage multiple profiles, and makes sharing digital ID info (like name or address) way safer.
Getting started is simple: download from Google Play or Apple App Store, enter your Aadhaar number, verify with an OTP, and set up face authentication.
You'll also create a six-digit PIN to keep everything extra secure.
