WhatsApp is rolling out a handy new feature for Android beta users: you can now scan documents straight from the app.
Just point your camera, scan, and save as a PDF—no more juggling extra scanning apps or complicated steps.

Manual and automatic scanning modes

The scanner offers manual and automatic modes. You can snap the photo yourself or let WhatsApp detect the document's edges and capture it for you.
Everything happens right on your phone, so your scans stay private.

End-to-end encryption for shared scans

Your scanned PDFs are sent with end-to-end encryption, so only you and whoever you share with can see them.
It's a welcome update for Android fans—especially since iOS folks have had this feature for a while.
