You can now shop and pay directly through ChatGPT using UPI, thanks to a new pilot by OpenAI, NPCI, and Razorpay.
Just ask for what you want (like "Find me sneakers"), and ChatGPT will show you shopping options from Bigbasket.
When you pick something, you can check out and pay right inside the chat—no extra apps needed.

This payment system uses UPI's Reserve Pay tech for added security—it holds your funds until your purchase is confirmed.
Axis Bank and Airtel Payments Bank are on board at launch.
There's also talk of ChatGPT getting a 'Clinician Mode' soon for basic medical advice, showing how AI could help out in both shopping and healthcare down the line.
