YouTube TV is giving subscribers $20 credit over Disney blackout
YouTube TV is offering subscribers a $20 credit because Disney-owned channels like ESPN and ABC have been blacked out since October 31, 2025.
The blackout happened after YouTube and Disney couldn't agree on pricing—YouTube says Disney is raising rates too much, while Disney says YouTube is "refusing to pay fair rates for our channels."
Variety first reported the credit, and a YouTube spokesperson confirmed the news to TechCrunch.
YouTube TV will email subscribers with steps to claim credit
Subscribers will soon get an email from YouTube TV with steps to claim the $20 credit.
This isn't the first time—back in 2022, a similar dispute led to a $15 credit for viewers when Disney content was briefly removed.
These ongoing clashes between streaming services and big media companies keep shaking up what you can watch—and how much you pay for it.
