What's the story

Saudi Arabian football club Al-Hilal are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli. As per The Athletic, the Saudi Pro League club has already started negotiations with the 25-year-old Brazilian's camp over a potential move. Arsenal are believed to be seeking a fee of around £60 million for Martinelli, but no agreement has been reached yet. Martinelli wasn't included in Arsenal's squad for either of their first two matches of the season.

Transfer talks

Galatasaray had tabled a £38.4m offer for Martinelli

The talks between Al-Hilal and Martinelli's camp are still ongoing. The player is said to be open to the idea of a transfer.

However, it is worth noting that Arsenal had previously received a €45 million (£38.4m; $51.8m) offer from Galatasaray for Martinelli, as per The Athletic on August 12.

At that time, his camp had informed the Premier League club that he wasn't interested in the proposed move.

Match exclusions

Arsenal are open to selling Martinelli

Martinelli was not part of Mikel Arteta's squad for the FA Community Shield win over Manchester City and the opening Premier League match against Coventry City.

His contract with Arsenal runs until 2027, with an option for a further year.

The North London club is open to selling the Brazil international if a good offer comes in but he isn't pushing to leave.
