Rishabh Pant is slowly becoming quite the name in Test cricket after making his debut for India against England earlier this year. Pant showed his brilliance in the Indian Premier League 2018. And he will be pivotal for India's chances in the remaining two Test matches against Australia. Pant drew praise from Glenn Maxwell, who witnessed his heroics in IPL 11.

Maxwell was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au, "He's an amazing talent. We have only seen him scratch the surface in terms of his ability. I've been glued to my TV every time he's come out to bat... if he does get going, it's pretty good to watch." One will hope to see the talented youngster bring forward his best game consistently.
Pant has shown flashes of form in ongoing series
Pant has shown flashes of promise in the ongoing 4-match series against Australia. In the first Test at the Adelaide Oval, the southpaw scored 25 and 28. He then went on to amass 36 and 30 in the second Test. With two more Tests to go, Pant will be eyeing to bring some solidity and help the side. A match-winning innings could help him.

Pant had amassed 684 runs in IPL 2018 and Maxwell recalled the classy innings in which the wicket-keeper batsman scored a ton. "He's extremely talented ... he played some extraordinary innings for us over there. He got an amazing hundred, where he just kept reserve-scooping balls with a straight bat, over third man for six."
Pant took 11 catches in the first Test
Pant took a total of 11 catches in the first Test. He has the most catches by an Indian keeper in a Test match (11). He went on to equal AB de Villiers and Jack Russell to become only the third ever keeper to take 11 catches in a Test match. He will be eyeing more such feats as the series progresses.
