In a team that is rightly known for its bowling prowess, there is Hazratullah Zazai at the top of the order with a "Hayden-esque" presence. Making his first-class debut in the 2017-18 Ahmad Shah Abdali Tournament for the Band-e-Amir region, the Afghan cricketer started making a name for himself after joining the Kabul Zwanan, a team in the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) in 2018. He created ripples in the cricket world when he became only the sixth player ever to hit six sixes in an over in competitive cricket in 2018. In the same match against Balkh Legends, Zazai equaled the record for the fastest half-century in T20 cricket (in 12 balls). Before smashing his way into six sixes in the APL, Zazai had made his international debut, which came against the UAE in a T20I in 2016. In a 2019 T20I match against Ireland, Zazai broke a lot of records. His score of 162 is the second-highest individual score in T20I, only behind Aaron Finch. The 16 sixes he hit is the record for most sixes in an innings. A player of immense talent, only time will tell whether Zazai fulfills his potential for Afghanistan.
