Kohli, Bumrah top proceedings in the ICC ODI rankings
Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli retained his number one position in the ICC ODI rankings, published on Monday. Alongside Kohli, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah too has maintained his top spot in the rankings for ODI bowlers. These two have been excellent in this format and deserve their respective places. Further, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan sit on second and eighth spot respectively.
Kohli tops rankings with 899 points
Kohli is in the pole position with 899 points under his belt. India's Rohit Sharma occupies the second place. Besides the duo, the only Indian in the top 10 is Shikhar Dhawan (eighth). Both Kohli and Rohit had an excellent series against West Indies last month. The two batsmen were in top form and scored at will, to help India win the series.
Bumrah, Rashid dominate bowling, all-round rankings
In the rankings for ODI bowlers, three Indians are in the top five. JB is on top with 841 points. Two positions behind him is Kuldeep Yadav, who maintains his third place. Yuzvendra Chahal jumped three places to sit on fifth spot. Meanwhile, Afghanistan's sensation Rashid has 353 points to top the all-rounder rankings. No Indian features in the top 10 list of all-rounders.
India behind England in ICC ODI rankings
The Indian ODI team continues to be second in the ICC rankings. Men in Blue, who beat West Indies 3-1 recently, have 121 points. England are leading the charts with a total of 126 points and New Zealand occupy the third place.
