Pakistan beat Bangladesh in match number 43 of the ICC World Cup 2019 at Lord's on Friday. Sarfaraz Ahmed's side couldn't qualify for the semis, but the players will be proud of registering four wins on the trot and taking fifth place. Batting first, Pakistan posted 315/9. Shakib first player to amass 600 runs in CWC 19
Shakib Al Hasan (64) became the first player to score 600 runs in the ongoing World Cup. The Bangladeshi stalwart notched his fifth fifty in CWC 19. He finished the campaign with seven fifty-plus scores and equalled Sachin Tendulkar's record achieved in 2003. Shakib registered his 47th career ODI fifty. This was also his seventh fifty in ODIs this year.

Shakib ninth highest run-scorer in World Cup history
Shaikib is now the ninth highest run-scorer in World Cup (1,146). He overcame Mahela Jayawardene and T Dilshan with this feat. Shakib now has 10 career World Cup fifties. at an average of 45.84.
Babar Azam scripts a host of records
Babar Azam (96) is now the fifth highest run-scorer in ODIs this year (946). The Pakistani star registered his sixth ODI fifty in 2019. This was his 15th career ODI fifty as well. Babar finished CWC 19 with 474 runs. He now holds the record of scoring most runs for Pakistan in an ODI World Cup. Babar surpasses Javed Miandad's tally of 437 (1992).
Classy Imam registers seventh ODI ton
Imam-ul-Haq (100) registered his maiden World Cup ton. The youngster is now the sixth highest run-scorer in ODIs this year (873). This was his third ODI ton in 2019 and a seventh overall. Imam and Babar shared 157-run stand for the second wicket. This was the fourth highest stand by a Pakistani pair for the second wicket in World Cup history.
Mustafizur excels once again and scripts these record
Mustafizur Rahman (5/75) claimed his second successive World Cup fifer. He finished CWC 19 with 20 wickets to his name and is currently the second highest wicket-taker. Fizz also surpassed the 100-wicket mark in ODIs for Bangladesh (103). He became the sixth Bangladeshi bowler to get past 100-plus wickets in ODI cricket. The left-arm pacer is now the fourth highest wicket-taker in 2019 (30).

How did the match pan out?
Pakistan lost Fakhar Zaman early on, but Babar and Imam were superb. They played positive cricket and scored at a decent rate to lay a foundation. Bangladesh hit back with key wickets and that hurt Pakistan. An important cameo from Imad Wasim helped them. In reply, Bangladesh faltered in the chase of 316. Only, Shakib showed an authority. Shaheen Afridi (6/35) was terrific.

Afridi now has the best bowling figures for Pakistan in World Cup history. This was also his best figures in ODI cricket. His figures are now the best in an ODI at Lord's. He finished with 16 wickets in CWC 19 from just five matches.
