    Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne became the outright second-highest provider of assists in the Premier League.

    The Belgian midfielder attained the milestone when his cutback from the byline helped Erling Haaland score the opener in Manchester City's 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.

    De Bruyne, who missed majority of the season with an injury, has been exceptional since returning to action.

    Recently, De Bruyne matched Cesc Fabregas in terms of Premier League assists (111). The former Wolfsburg player became the fastest to 111 assists and was joint-second.

    In the very next game, his assist for Haaland took him past former Arsenal and Chelsea legend Fabregas.

    Former Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs holds the record for most Premier League assists (162).

    The 13-time Premier League champion played 632 matches in the competition's history.

    He also finished with 109 goals. The Welshman went on to win 400-plus matches donning the United jersey.

    He last figured in the 2013-14 season. Giggs was one of Sir Alex Ferguson's most trusted assets.

    Kevin De Bruyne - 112 assists

    De Bruyne owns 112 assists from 259 Premier League appearances. He has also made his presence felt with 68 goals.

    The versatile midfielder has won five Premier League titles. He has bagged two Player of the Season awards and two Goal of the Month awards.

    He has also won the Playmaker award on three occasions. 2019-20 was his best season (13 goals, 20 assists).

    Cesc Fabregas - 111 assists

    Former FIFA World Cup winner Fabregas is regarded as one of the best players from Spain to play in the Premier League.

    He went on to register 111 assists from 350 Premier League appearances. He scored 50 goals.

    Fabregas made 212 appearances for Arsenal before donning the Chelsea shirt 138 times.

    He won the league title twice with Chelsea.

    One of the most complete footballers to have graced the sport, Wayne Rooney remains a legend.

    Rooney is the only player in the competition's history to score 200-plus goals (208) and make 100-plus assists (103).

    Rooney represented Manchester United and Everton. He appeared in 491 Premier League games, winning the trophy five times.

    He won the Player of the Season award in 2009-10.

    Former West Ham United, Chelsea and Manchester City ace Frank Lampard finished his Premier League career with 102 assists. He also smashed 177 goals from 609 appearances. Lampard won three Premier League honors with Chelsea and was the Player of the Season in 2004-05.
