What's the story
The fifth round of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season has concluded. There will be a two-month break now before the season will once again resume on January 22, 2026. Several players have shown character this season in the 32-team Elite Division comprising 4 groups. Round 5 also had these players deliver for the sides. We look at the top players after Round 5.

In Elite Group B, Karnataka top the show with 21 points from 5 matches. Karun Nair, who was dropped from the Team India Test squad after being handed a recall for the England tour, has shown his mettle.
