492 runs vs Australia, Johannesburg, 2018

South Africa claimed their biggest Test win in the 2018 Johannesburg game against Australia. The Proteas won by 492 runs while stopping the visitors from chasing down 612. Vernon Philander stole the show with an unbeaten 33 and figures of 3/30 and 6/21. Meanwhile, Australia struggled in the aftermath of the sandpaper gate, which saw Steve Smith, David Warner, and Cameron Bancroft being banned.

The one in Guwahati against India became South Africa's only other Test they won by 400-plus runs. This is also the biggest Test win for South Africa in Asia (by runs). Simon Harmer took six wickets as the hosts failed to chase down 549. Before this series, SA's last Test win on Indian soil came in 2010.

South Africa's third-biggest Test win in terms of runs dates back to 2007. A star-studded Proteas side, led by Graeme Smith, was on fire against New Zealand in Johannesburg. The Kiwis faced the wrath of Dale Steyn, who took a fifer in both innings (5/34 and 5/59). They were bowled out for 118 and 172. Defending 530, SA won by 358 runs.
