TV host quits over threatening Parkland school shooting survivor
Messing with David Hogg, a Parkland high school shooting survivor, landed another American broadcaster in trouble. Jamie Allman, a conservative TV and radio commentator, was put off air after he threatened Hogg with sexual assault. On March 26, Allman tweeted he was "getting ready to ram a hot poker up David Hogg's ass", a comment that didn't go well with his employers. Here's more.
Allman's broadcasters pull out his radio and TV shows
Thanks to his publicly threatening a school student with sodomy, Allman's broadcasters KDNL-TV and radio station KFTK cancelled his shows. According to the BBC, KDNL-TV accepted his resignation on Tuesday and announced his show The Allman Report's cancellation through a statement. On receiving backlash, Allman's page on the micro-blogging website was first locked and then made private but his tweet's image has gone viral.
Fox News host knows what trolling David Hogg can do
Allman isn't the first to be in line of fire for targeting Hogg, an active anti-gun campaigner. Fox News presenter Laura Ingraham trolled him last month for being rejected by four colleges he applied to. In retaliation, Hogg called on Twitter the top 12 advertisers of her show to boycott her. And they did, forcing Ingraham to apologize and go on a week-long leave.

Hogg gets accepted into UC Irvine
However, Hogg isn't the only #MarchForOurLives leader being targeted by conservative pundits baffled by the success of the students' movement. Several other teen gun-reform activists, including Emma Gonzalez, have been mocked. Interestingly, Hogg turns 18 today. Moreover, he received an acceptance letter last week from UC Irvine, a University of California school. So, to Allman, Ingraham and all other haters, we call BS!
