    What's the story

    Hillary Clinton delivered her speech at the New Yorker Hotel in New York City, conceding the election to Donald Trump.

    Thanking all the people for their support, Clinton said: "This loss hurts. But please never stop believing that fighting for what's right is worth it".

    She praised Barack Obama and Michelle Obama for their excellent leadership and hard work.

    Hillary Clinton thanked all the women who supported her campaign and that she was proud to be their 'champion'.

    She asked all the little girls to "never doubt that you are valuable and powerful & deserving of every chance & opportunity in the world."

    She said that some woman will break the "highest and hardest glass ceiling" and become the President of USA.

    Hillary on Trump: We owe him an open mind

    Conceding defeat in her speech, Hillary Clinton congratulated Donald Trump for his win.

    She said that his win was democratic and that America had chosen him and hence he deserved an "open mind and the chance to lead."

    She said that the American constitutional democracy sanctified a peaceful transfer of power and she would respect it by cooperating with Trump.

    After Hillary Clinton's speech, Obama spoke in the White House Rose Garden and said that he will help Trump, providing a smooth transition of presidencies.

    He said he "couldn't be prouder" of Clinton, as her candidacy and nomination was historic. It sent "a message to our daughters all across the country that they can achieve at the highest levels of politics."
