Bharat Taxi: New ride app takes on Ola & Uber from Jan 1
Bharat Taxi, a new cooperative-run ride-hailing app, is launching in Delhi on January 1, 2026.
Backed by the Ministry of Cooperation and Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited, it already has over 56,000 drivers in Delhi signed up across cars, autos, and bikes.
The goal? To give commuters another choice—and put drivers first.
Fixed fares & driver-first model
No more surprise surge pricing: rides start at ₹30 for up to 4km, then ₹23/km (4-12km), and ₹18/km after that.
Drivers will keep 80-100% of fares at launch—way more than the usual cut from Ola or Uber—so earnings stay with those behind the wheel.
All-in-one platform with safety focus
Bharat Taxi brings cars, autos, and bikes together in one app with promised pickups within two minutes.
Safety gets a boost too: there's direct integration with Delhi Police and transparent driver checks.
Powered by ONDC-backed tech (like Namma Yatri), it aims to make daily commutes smoother—and fairer—for everyone.
