Toyota unveils most powerful Land Cruiser 300 hybrid
Toyota's iconic Land Cruiser is going hybrid, with the 300 Hybrid model set to launch in Australia by 2026.
Packing a punch with a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 and electric motor combo, it delivers a hefty 457hp and 790 Nm—making it the most powerful Land Cruiser yet.
All the luxury features you'd expect
You get all-wheel drive through a smooth 10-speed automatic gearbox, so it's ready for both city streets and off-road adventures.
The exterior stands out with fresh bumpers, chrome touches on the higher-spec VXR trim, and hybrid badges on top trims.
Inside, there's leather seating, walnut accents, four-zone climate control, and a big 12.3-inch touchscreen—basically comfort meets tech.
Future-ready hybrid powertrain
This hybrid isn't just more powerful than the current diesel version (which tops out at 309hp), but also marks Toyota's push toward electrifying its lineup by 2030.
It'll sit alongside diesel models and go head-to-head with other high-powered SUVs—so if you're into big rides that are future-ready, this one might be worth watching.
