Arjun Rampal to lead Shailesh Verma's family drama
What's the story
Actor Arjun Rampal is set to star in an upcoming film directed by Shailesh Verma, reported PTI. The yet-to-be-titled project is a "family drama, which blends entertainment with a strong social message celebrating life's simple values, deep roots, and the people who matter most." This will be the first collaboration between Rampal and Verma and will release theatrically in August.

The upcoming film is a joint production of Paras Software and Entertainment and VEMO Multimedia Pvt Ltd. Rampal was last seen in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar, where he played Major Iqbal. The film also starred Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. It was released in December 2025 and reportedly crossed over ₹1,000 crore at the box office. Rampal will reprise his role in Dhurandhar 2, releasing on March 19.

Rampal made his Bollywood debut with Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat in 2001. He subsequently found mainstream success with big-budget spectacles like Don (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007), Housefull (2010), Raajneeti (2010) and Ra.One (2011), among others. Apart from Dhurandhar: The Revenge, he will also be seen in Imtiaz Ali's O Saathi Re, which will stream on Netflix. The series also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Avinash Tiwary.
