Born on October 4, 1956, Austrian and German actor Christoph Waltz has several awards and accolades under his belt. He rose to prominence with the 2009 film ‘Inglorious Bastards.’ Waltz made his stage debut with Schauspielhaus in Zurich and later performed in theaters in Vienna, Salzburg, Cologne, and Hamburg. Between 1998 and 2000, he ascended to the position of a terrific television actor. He made his directorial debut in 2000 with the German TV show ‘Wenn man sich traut.’ As of 2021, Waltz appeared in some of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies including ‘Carnage’ (2011), ‘Django Unchained’ (2012) ‘The Zero Theorem’ (2013), ‘Big Eyes’ (2014), ‘Spectre’ (2015), ‘Downsizing’ (2017), ‘Rifkin’s Festival’ (2020), and ‘No Time to Die’ (2021). In 2020, he also worked in the web series ‘Most Dangerous Game’ for which he earned his first Primetime Emmy Award nomination. As of 2021, Waltz has received one Academy Award, one BAFTA Award, one Golden Globe Award, and the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival. Waltz holds dual citizenship in Germany and Austria. He has been a German citizen since birth and applied for Austrian citizenship in 2010.
