Born on 12th June 1955 in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu, India, Justice Chinnaswamy Swaminathan Karnan, well-known as Justice Karnan is a High Court judge. Justice CS Karnan became the first High Court Judge to retire while absconding after the Supreme Court sentenced him to 6 months in prison for his derogatory remarks and under contempt of court.
