    UP: Man beaten to death by lover's family

    UP: Man beaten to death by lover's family

    A 25-year-old man was beaten to death in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar by the family members of a woman he was in a relationship with, police said on Wednesday. Three people have been booked in connection with the incident which took place in Nawala village on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Rahul, police stated. Here's more.

    Rahul was rushed to the hospital, declared brought dead

    According to the complaint lodged by the victim's father, Rahul was called by his neighbor Dharamabir for a meeting and later beaten to death. Rahul was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead, the police said. A case has been registered against Dharambir and his two sons, Sumit and Sonu. Sonu is at large and efforts are being made to nab him.

    Similar incident happened in Muzaffarnagar in March 2018

    In 2018, a 22-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by his lover's family members when he had gone to meet her in Shamli district, Muzaffarnagar, as reported by India Today. The incident took place in Gangeru village. Three people were arrested in the matter, including the girl's brother, mother, and uncle.

    Another such incident took place in Varanasi in May 2018

    In another incident, a 20-year-old man died after he was allegedly beaten up by the family members of a girl he was in a relationship with in Sambhaipur village. The deceased, Mohit Kumar, a resident of Korauta village, was called by the family of the girl to meet them. He was allegedly beaten to death and thrown on the roadside in an unconscious state.
