All-natural ways to reduce body heat
Increased body temperature can lead to several health problems like indigestion, and insomnia.

Your body temperature may rise due to a lot of factors including hyperthyroidism, inflammatory illness, wearing tight synthetic clothes, performing intense exercises, etc. However, drinking lots of water can cool you down but there are also various foods that can keep your body temperature in check and give relief from heat stress symptoms. Here are five foods to reduce your body heat naturally.

Here is what our expert says

    • Thermoregulation is the act of maintaining the temperature of a body.
    • It is a complex biological process in which water plays an important role. Most heat produced in the body is lost via skin, breathing and sweating.
    • When a person is dehydrated, sweating is impaired and body heat builds up, therefore adequate hydration is necessary to promote sweating and staying cool.

    Coconut water

The cooling properties of coconut water help to boost your energy levels, hydrate your body and cool it down. It is best enjoyed during summers to beat the scorching heat. Packed with essential vitamins and minerals, coconut water reduces the body heat naturally and also balances the electrolytes in your body. Drinking coconut water daily can also prevent various body infections.

    Buttermilk

Buttermilk is a great drink to include in your everyday diet to reduce your body heat naturally. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and probiotics, this healthy drink keeps you cool during the summers and also stimulates your metabolism. It helps to restore your body's energy levels and also aids digestion. You can have this drink twice a day daily to feel refreshed and energized.

    Aloe vera

We all are aware of the soothing and healing properties of aloe vera, but did you know that this medicinal plant can lower your body heat externally as well as internally? Apply chilled aloe vera gel to your skin to experience its cooling effect. You can also buy some aloe vera juice from the market and drink it on an empty stomach.

    Fenugreek

Fenugreek seeds are well-known for their cooling properties. They help to reduce your body temperature and make you feel refreshed. They also prevent flatulence that occurs due to excess heat and are also great for detoxifying the body. You can drink fenugreek tea or soak fenugreek seeds in water overnight and consume the water in the morning to cool down your body.

    Cucumber

The high amount of water content in cucumbers helps to reduce body heat and keeps you cool throughout the day. High in fiber, vitamin C, K, B, potassium, and copper, it is perfect to have during the summers and also protects your body against various diseases. The fiber in cucumber also prevents constipation issues that are mostly caused due to high body temperature.
