Bybit's AI saved $300 million from crypto scams
Bybit, a major crypto exchange, says its new AI-powered security system caught and recovered $300 million from scam withdrawals in late 2025.
Out of $500 million in flagged suspicious activity, more than 4,000 users were protected.
Pretty reassuring if you're worried about your coins vanishing.
How the system works
Their system runs on three layers: first, it spots weird stuff like big withdrawals to new addresses; next, it sends real-time alerts for sketchy login attempts or suspicious accounts; finally, it can freeze risky transactions for an hour to block scammers before money leaves.
The bigger picture
According to a 2025 Chainalysis report, nearly $17 billion was lost to scams in 2024.
With numbers like that, Bybit's proactive approach, combining AI with partners like TRM and Chainalysis, is a big deal for anyone navigating the wild world of digital money.
As David Zong from Bybit puts it, they want their tech to be "an active, intelligent guardian" for users.
