SpaceX, Blue Origin to launch back-to-back rockets on Sunday
Florida's Space Coast is about to break its own launch record, with the 94th rocket of the year lifting off on Sunday, November 9—topping last year's total.
Kicking things off early, a SpaceX Falcon 9 will launch 29 Starlink satellites from Kennedy Space Center between 3:10am and 7:10am EST.
Falcon 9 will launch Starlink satellites
Later that day, Blue Origin's massive New Glenn rocket will launch NASA's twin ESCAPADE spacecraft from Cape Canaveral to study Mars's magnetosphere.
Fun fact: SpaceX has already flown 87 Falcon 9 rockets out of Florida this year, most using reusable boosters for quick turnarounds.
How to watch the launches
Locals might catch both launches in person if the weather holds up. The early Starlink launch could create a bright "satellite train" in the sky just after liftoff.
