What's the story

Xiaomi has started rolling out the official open beta build of MIUI 10 update for its budget-friendly flagship - the Poco F1. The update, based on Android Pie, comes with a build number 8.11.15 and a file size of over 2.4GB. Simultaneously, the company is also releasing this update for several other devices. Here's everything we know.

New features, UI

What's new in the update?

Xiaomi's official changelog for this update is common for all MIUI devices and mentions some bug fixes. Notably, MIUI 10 is Xiaomi's latest and biggest software upgrade, bringing full-screen display gestures, an updated 'Recents' menu, and a revamped Notifications panel. Further, this update is also expected to introduce a bunch of Android Pie features such as adaptive battery and brightness, among others.

Process

Here's how to download and install the update?

If you're running MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM, manually check for the update under 'System Updates' in the 'Settings' menu or via the Updater app. If you're running MIUI 7/8/9 stable versions, you can directly update by flashing the Fastboot ROM. However, make sure you back up all your data because this is a beta build and will be prone to bugs and crashes.
