Fabian Allen: News

Hailing from Jamaica, Fabian Allen is a right-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spinner. He was part of the West Indies U-19 team for the 2014 World Cup. A bowling all-rounder by trade, he made his first-class debut in the 2016-17 Regional Four Day Competition for Jamaica. Allen's debut season went surprisingly well, as he scored three consecutive half-centuries in the tournament. His performance in the first-class tournament led to him being picked for the Caribbean Premier League by St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Allen continued his impressive form in first-class cricket with his maiden century in the 2017-18 Regional Four Day Competition. His List A debut came in the 2017-18 Regional Super50 for Jamaica. Allen's upward trajectory continued when he was named in the West Indies B squad for the Global T20 Canada in 2018. As he improved as a player, T20 franchises from abroad came calling for Allen. First came Sylhet Sixers of the Bangladesh Premier League. In 2021, he made his Indian Premier League debut for Punjab Kings. Peshawar Zalmi later signed him to play in the Pakistan Super League. Allen made his international debut in both ODIs and T20Is in 2018 against India.
