All-new Renault Duster arrives in India on March 17
Renault is bringing the all-new Duster to India on March 17, 2026. It's built on a fresh platform and already reaching dealerships, with deliveries set for April.
You can pre-book now for ₹21,000, and the price is expected to start around ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom), with overall estimates ranging up to roughly ₹18-20 lakh.
Engine options for the new Duster
The new Duster comes with three engine choices: a 1.0-liter turbo petrol (100hp), a punchier 1.3-liter turbo petrol (163hp), and for the first time, a strong hybrid with a 1.8-liter engine plus battery power (160hp).
Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed dual-clutch (DCT) for the 1.3-liter unit, and an 8-step Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) for the hybrid.
Features offered inside the cabin
Inside, you get a roomy cabin with a big 10.1-inch touchscreen supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, and plenty of trunk space at 518-liter.
Safety gets an upgrade too: six airbags, Level 2 ADAS features like lane assist and adaptive cruise control, plus a handy 360-degree camera.
Diesel engine option not expected at launch
With engines up to around 163hp (and ~160hp for the hybrid), the Duster aims to offer strong performance comparable to segment rivals.
However, a diesel option is not expected at launch, and reports differ on AWD/4x4 availability for India — it may not be offered at launch.
Renault will introduce a strong-hybrid powertrain for the Duster in India, so if you want something fresh in your next SUV hunt, it might be worth checking out!
