Abhijat Joshi is an Indian screenwriter, film producer, director and editor born in 1969. Joshi has worked as a screenwriter with Vinod Chopra Productions for many movies, including ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ (2006), ‘Sanju’ (2018), ‘3 Idiots’ (2009), and ‘PK’ (2014). He also scripted Vidhu Vinod Chopra's lesser known Hollywood flick ‘Broken Horses’ in 2015. Joshi’s 1992 theater production called ‘A Shaft of Sunlight’ received much critical acclaim. He completed his schooling from Shree Vidyanagar High School in Ahmedabad. Joshi graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas at Austin. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Shri HK Arts College, Gujarat University. He has also served as a professor of English at the CU Shah Arts College in Ahmedabad. Joshi is one of the widely acclaimed writers and is credited for penning numerous plays and skits in Gujarati and English languages.
