Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has indicated that a sequel to the much-anticipated film Dhurandhar is in the works. In an interview with Zoom, he mentioned that the second part of the film is expected to be released in summer 2026. "Yes, that's true. That's what I have heard also," he said when asked about the sequel's release next year.

Role revelation

Bedi's role and excitement for 'Dhurandhar'

Bedi, who plays Jameel in Dhurandhar, also revealed that he has a significant role in the film. "Half of my work is in this film. Now you'll only see half of what I've done." "The remaining half is in the other part. The remaining half is more interesting than this half." He also expressed his excitement about working with director Aditya Dhar again, following their previous collaboration on URI: The Surgical Strike.

Star-studded lineup

'Dhurandhar' features an ensemble cast

Dhurandhar, directed by Dhar, boasts an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt. The film is a joint production of Jio Studios and B62 Studios. It will be released in theaters on Friday, December 5. Meanwhile, the film has sparked controversy, with reports claiming it's inspired by the real-life story of Major Mohit Sharma, adapted to screen without his family's consent. However, the director and the CBFC have dismissed these rumours.
