Born on October 3, 1966, Anand Prithviraj Singh is an Indian politician, a cabinet minister in the Karnataka government, and a four-time BJP MLA from Vijayanagara (Hospet) constituency of Karnataka. As of 2021, he is serving as the Minister of Ecology and Environment in the Basavaraj Bommai government. He was one of the 17 MLAs who resigned and was significant in bringing down the JDS-Congress alliance in Karnataka in 2019. During the BS Yediyurappa government, he was inducted as the Minister of Infrastructure development, Hajj & Waqf Department of Karnataka. Termed as one of the richest ministers in the Karnataka government, he has 15 criminal cases against him. In 2013 and 2015, Singh was arrested in the Ballari mining ore scam. He was later released on bail.
