Radha Mohan Singh is an Indian politician who serves as the National Vice-President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has formerly served as the Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and the President of BJP’s Bihar State unit from 2006-2009. Singh is serving as a member of the 17th Lok Sabha, National Election Officer, and Chairperson for the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways, as of 2021. Previously, he has served as a member of the 9th Lok Sabha, 11th Lok Sabha, 13th Lok Sabha, 15th Lok Sabha, and 16th Lok Sabha. Singh started his political career as a student leader and was an active member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In 1967, he was elected as the Nagar Pramukh of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Motihari. Following this, Singh joined the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and became its Mandal secretary in 1969. In 1970, he was appointed as the organizational secretary of the Jana Sangh for Bihar’s East Champaran region. After this, he joined BJP and in 1977, he was appointed as the party’s general secretary. In 1988, he served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
