Gmail for Android just got smarter with attachment previews

Gmail's latest Android update makes life a bit easier: now, you can see previews of email attachments right in your notification panel—no need to open the app just to check what's come in.
The feature started rolling out in mid-to-late November 2025 and aims to help you triage emails faster and stay on top of things with less hassle.

More handy updates you'll notice

Alongside attachment previews, Gmail added a new "Arriving Soon" tab that pulls together all your order and delivery info so tracking packages is simpler.
The Promotions tab now gives users a "nudge" about offers they might enjoy.
Plus, if you use Workspace, it's easier to set up meetings—just drop a booking page straight into your email draft.
