Tsavorite's new chip could make AI processing way greener

Technology

Tsavorite just unveiled its Omni Processing Unit (OPU), a processor built specifically for AI.
The big deal? It claims to run AI tasks 10 times faster than conventional processors while using only a 10th of the energy.
That's a huge leap from the usual GPU setups and could make AI both speedier and significantly more eco-friendly.

OPU combines CPU, GPU, and memory for better efficiency

The OPU blends CPU, GPU, memory, and fast connections into one smart package for better efficiency.
This fresh approach has already pulled in $100 million in pre-orders from major players like Japan's Sumitomo Corporation.
CEO Shalesh Thusoo says, "It's not about chip size; it's about intelligence and optimization," with Tsavorite aiming to enable sustainable AI for the future.

Tsavorite's India plans

Tsavorite also plans to expand in India by making its Helix platform—a full AI system—entirely within the country by 2026.
This move highlights their push for smarter tech that's both efficient and homegrown, putting India on the map as a key player in global AI innovation.
