Colin de Grandhomme: News

Hailing from Harare, Colin De Grandhomee became a part of the New Zealand cricket setup when he joined the Auckland Aces in 2006. An all-rounder who bowled medium-fast deliveries, De Grandhomme made a name for himself for his heavy-hitting in the domestic circuit. This earned him a call-up to the T20 team. He made his T20I and ODI debut in 2012. Although he played fairly well, his performances were not impressive enough to guarantee him a place in the team. His batting in the 2016 Plunket Shield put him on the national team radar again. In 2016, on his Test debut, he picked up six wickets and bettered a 65-year-old record of best bowling by a New Zealand bowler on debut. Since his Test debut, De Grandhomme has been in the reckoning in all three formats of the game. His ability to move the ball has made him a de facto selection in green pitches. In 2017, against the West Indies, he scored the second-fastest century in tests by a Kiwi batsman. New Zealand's first-choice pace all-rounder, De Grandhomme, was part of the New Zealand team that won the World Test Championship.
