One of the most famous actresses of Indian television, Shilpa Shinde, is known for her character of ‘Angoori Bhabhi’ in the television serial 'Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai!'. In her childhood days, Shinde's father wanted her to do law, but she wanted to pursue a career in acting. In 1999, she made her debut in the television industry. However, the first role that gave her a breakthrough in television came with the show ‘Bhabhi’ in 2002. Until 2006, Shinde became a part of many television shows, which gave her immense fame in the industry. She had earlier made her film debut with the 2001 Telugu film ‘Chinna' and later acted in Telugu flick ‘Shivani’ (2001), too. Even after appearing in many movies and television serials, Shinde was not known in the mainstream industry. It was SAB TV's show ‘Chidiya Ghar’ that gave her nationwide recognition, but she quit it after her father’s death, following which she went into depression. Shinde then became a known name in every Indian household after she was cast as Angoori Bhabhi in ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai!’ (2015-16). She also participated in ‘Bigg Boss 11’ and emerged as the winner.
