The actor who won five Best Male Debut awards upon entering the film industry, Shiney Ahuja, predominantly worked in Hindi cinema. Born and brought up in Delhi, Ahuja joined the theater group ‘Tag’ after completing his graduation. While doing theater, he met Barry John and later joined John's acting school in Delhi. His first work in the entertainment world came with a commercial for ‘Pepsi’. The advertisement was a hit and Ahuja was flooded with opportunities of working with various companies for advertisements. He worked in 40 commercials and appeared in his first music video, ‘Pyar ho Gaya’. Hee made his debut in Bollywood with director Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’,. It was made in 2003 but was released only in 2005; Ahuja, however, won five Best Male Debut awards for his performance in this film. Later, he appeared in ‘Gangster’, ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Life in a Metro’, and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, among others. In 2011, he was sentenced to seven years in prison after he was accused of allegedly raping his maid.
