Google Meet now lets you react with thousands of emojis

Technology

Google Meet just got a lot more expressive—now you can react in calls with nearly 4,000 different emojis instead of just nine.
The feature starts rolling out on Android and web from November 19, 2025, while iOS users will get it a bit later.

Reactions show up as badges on people's video tiles

Reactions show up as badges on people's video tiles, and if things get lively, you'll see a stream of them across the screen.
You're no longer limited to just claps or thumbs up—there's an emoji for almost every mood.
Hosts and admins can limit emojis if needed, and livestream viewers can only send reactions from the original, limited set, but can view all reactions, including those from the expanded set, as they appear.

Android and web users get 1st dibs

Android and web users get first dibs; iOS support is coming soon.
Meet Rooms hardware users can view but not send these new emojis yet.
With this update, Google Meet now offers a significantly expanded range of emoji options for reactions—making meetings a little less boring and a lot more fun to react in.
