What's the story

Alongside the Redmi K30 5G, Xiaomi has launched an all-new RedmiBook in China. The laptop comes with ultra-slim bezels to offer a near 90% screen-to-body ratio, a premium-looking metallic body, improved fan design, and 10th-generation Intel Core processors. In China, the RedmiBook 13 is priced at 4,199 yuan (roughly Rs. 42,300) and will go on sale from today (December 12). Here's our roundup.

RedmiBook 13: At a glance

The new RedmiBook features a narrow-edge display design to offer an 89% screen-to-body ratio while the aluminum chassis adds sturdiness and a premium look. It also has a custom fan that increases the air volume by 25% and an improved management system featuring dual heat pipes. Further, the laptop offers a 13.3-inch full-HD anti-glare display with chiclet-style keyboard and DTS Surround sound audio support.

The RedmiBook 13 is powered by 10th-generation Intel Core processors, paired with NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. It is rated to offer 11 hours of battery life on a single charge and supports 1C fast charging technology that can replenish upto 50% juice in around 35 minutes.

RedmiBook 13 runs on Windows 10

The Xiaomi laptop runs on Microsoft's Windows 10 Home and the Office Student edition comes pre-installed on the device. It also features Xiaomi's mutual transmission support which can offer a network-less transmission between PC and mobile phone as well as between two computers.

Pricing and availability

The RedmiBook 13 starts at 4,199 yuan (Rs. 42,300) for the base-end model (Core i5+8GB RAM+512GB SSD) and goes upto 5,199 yuan (Rs. 52,360) for the top-end configuration (Core i7+8GB RAM+512GB SSD). The pre-orders for the laptop have already started, while the sale would begin from December 12. However, its availability and pricing details in the global markets haven't been announced yet.
