Geeta Kapoor is an Indian choreographer and television personality who works in the Hindi film industry. She is popularly known as one of the judges on the dance reality shows: ‘India’s Best Dancer,’ ‘Dance India Dance,’ ‘India Ke Mast Kalandar,’ ‘Dance Ke Superkids,’ and ‘Super Dancer.’ Kapoor was born on July 5, 1973, in Mumbai and started her career at the age of 15 when she joined the dance group of popular choreographer Farah Khan. Following this, she went on to assist Khan in several hit films like ‘Om Shanti Om,’ ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai,’ ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,’ ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham,’ ‘Main Hoon Na,’ ‘Kal Ho Na Ho,’ and ‘Bombay Dreams.’ She was also the lead choreographer in films like ‘Saathiya,’ ‘Tees Maar Khan,’ ‘Heyy Babyy,’ ‘Asoka,’ ‘Fiza,’ and ‘Aladin,’ among several others. Kapoor had choreographed the opening ceremony of IPL 2013. She has also appeared as a background dancer in songs like ‘Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aaye,’ from ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,’ ‘Gori Gori,’ from ‘Main Hoon Na,’ among others. Apart from choreography, she also did modeling during her younger years. In 2008, she made her small screen debut with Zee TV’s ‘Dance India Dance (Season 1).’
