Ranked as the 198th richest British Asian in 2004, Raj Kundra is a British -Indian businessman. Born and brought up in London, he moved to Dubai at the age of 18 and then to Nepal to start the business of selling Pashmina shawls to British retailers. In 2007, Kundra relocated to Dubai to set up a trading company dealing in precious metals, construction, mining, and energy-related projects. During the same time, he started financing and producing films in Bollywood. After moving to Bollywood, he got separated from his first wife and got married to Shilpa Shetty. Later, Kundra is associated with many other ventures, including Satyug Gold, Super Fight League, and the food chain Bastian Hospitality in Mumbai. After their marriage, the couple also invested in a cricket team in the Indian Premier League, Rajasthan Royals. In 2013, he was questioned after being a suspect in a spot-fixing case. In 2021, Kundra again hit the headlines after being arrested in a pornography case.
