One of the most commercially successful actresses of the entertainment industry, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, is an actor, dancer, model, author, producer, and businesswoman predominantly working in the Hindi cinema. Born in Mangalore, she started her career in modeling after completing Class 10. She began by featuring in Limca television commercial followed by many TV commercials, due to which she gained attention and started getting offers from film directors. In 1992, Kundra signed her first film 'Gaata Rahe Mera Dil', which was never released. Hence, her debut in the industry was with the release of 'Baazigar' (1993), which became a huge box office hit, and she received the Best Supporting Actress and Best Female Debu nominations at Filmfare. Over the years, Kundra appeared in many blockbuster movies, including 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari', which is her most hit film to date. She has also worked in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada movies alongside famous actors. After 2007, Kundra took a hiatus from movies and ventured into business, such as co-owning the IPL cricket team Rajasthan Royals. Later, she made notable appearances in Bollywood songs. In 2021, she made a comeback with the film 'Hungama 2'.
