Jasleen Matharu made headlines with her entry in the famous TV reality show ‘Big Boss’ with Anup Jalota. Born on 4th April 1990 in Mumbai, Matharu’s ancestral roots are in Ludhiana, Punjab. Her father Kesar Matharu is an Indian Film Director and her brother Kamaljeet Singh Matharu is an actor and producer. Matharu was said to be in a live-in relationship with her idol Anup Jalota, with whom she was rumored to have a complicated relationship. However, later on, Anup Jalota cleared the air by calling her “just a student” with whom he shared a musical relationship and nothing else. As of 2020, she started dating a surgeon & aesthetic physician Dr. Abhineet Gupta, who was introduced to her through Anup Jalota. Dr. Gupta is said to have been separated from his wife before he met Jasleen. Jasleen Matharu has performed with several other singers like Mika Singh and Sukhwinder Singh. She made her solo debut with her first single album called ‘Loveday.’
