Ramesh Bidhuri: News

Ramesh Bidhuri is a lawyer, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politician, and Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Delhi. He did his BCom from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University, and an LLB from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Uttar Pradesh. He is an advocate practicing in the Delhi High Court. Bidhuri was a student leader of ABVP in his university days and later joined the BJP. From 2003 to 2008, he was the Vice-President of the Delhi BJP, subsequently becoming its General Secretary. In 2003, Bidhuri entered the Delhi Legislative Assembly for the first time from the Tughlakabad constituency. After delimitation, he successfully contested from the constituency of Okhla in the 2008 and 2013 Assembly elections, becoming a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) thrice. In 2014, Bidhuri contested his first Lok Sabha election and won from the South Delhi constituency. He was re-elected from South Delhi after defeating Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Raghav Chaddha in the 2019 General Elections. Bidhuri has served as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Petroleum & Natural Gas.
