Namma Metro, also well-known as Bangalore Metro is the 2nd largest metro line in India after Delhi Metro. Spread over 42.3 kilometres serving 41 stations with an average daily ridership of 2,41,000 passengers it began operations in October 2011. The BMRCL plans to double the number of tunnel boring machines used in Phase-2 which is expected to be fully operational by 2023.
