Amy Adams: News

From playing naive yet charming characters during the early stages of her career to deep and dark protagonists, Amy Adams’s career trajectory is one to marvel upon. Born on August 20, 1974, in Italy, Amy Lou Adams spent her childhood in Castle Rock, Colorado. A trained ballerina, Adams’s association with acting began with her appearances in musicals in dinner theater. Her first feature was ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’ that came out in 1999. After being a part of television and films for some time, Adam’s first noteworthy performance came opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2002-movie ‘Catch Me If You Can.’ She received her first Academy Award nomination for her role in the 2005 film ‘Junebug.’ Adams slowly but steadily built a resume of excellence in the latter part of the first decade of the 21st century. It was, however, in the next decade that she went for the kill. In 2014, she won the Golden Globe Award for best actress for the film ‘American Hustle’ and then again in 2015 for ‘Big Eyes.’ In 2014, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world. She was also featured in the Forbes Celebrity 100 list.
