Abid Ali: News

Abid Ali is a right-handed batsman who plays for the Pakistan cricket team. As of 2021, he is the only male cricketer to score a century in his first Test and first ODI match. He has played 122 First-class cricket matches and 102 List A matches. He made his international Test debut in December 2019 against Sri Lanka. He scored a century in both the first and the second match of the series, thus becoming the first Pakistani batsman to score a century in his maiden Test match, as well as the second Test match. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in March 2019 against Australia. In May 2021, he became the first Pakistani opener to score a double century in the Test series against Zimbabwe. As of 2021, Ali has played 20 international matches.
