Devoleena Bhattacharjee is an Indian actress who predominantly works in the Hindi television industry. She is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. Bhattacharjee is popularly known for portraying the role of Gopi Ahem Modi in Star Plus’s romantic family television series ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.’ She has received numerous accolades for her performance in the soap opera. In 2019, she had also participated in the Colors TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss 13.’ Bhattacharjee was born on August 22, 1990, in Assam and she is an alumnus of the National Institute of Fashion and Technology in Delhi. Initially, she used to work as a jewelry designer in Gili India Ltd. in Mumbai. She was noticed when she went to audition for the dance reality series ‘Dance India Dance 2.’ In 2011, she made her acting debut with NDTV Imagine’s soap opera ‘Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto.’ Her breakthrough role came in 2012 when she replaced actor Giaa Manek as the female lead in ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.’ In 2020, Bhattacharjee also appeared in the sequel of the show titled ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2.’
