Liverpool's Colombian winger, Luis Diaz, has officially joined Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in a deal worth £65.5 million. The transfer comes after a protracted negotiation process that saw Liverpool initially reject Bayern's advances and an offer of around £58.5 million (€67 million). However, the Bundesliga giants returned with a second bid of £65.5 million (€75 million) including add-ons, which was eventually accepted by Liverpool after securing what they deemed full market value for the player.

Diaz's exit from Liverpool comes after two failed attempts to extend his contract, due to a gap between offers and demands. Despite this, they are set to make a profit of around £22 million on Diaz, who was signed from Porto in January 2022 for an initial fee of £37 million.
